Extensification (Ekstensivering)

Extensification means managing land less intensively, for example with less fertiliser or as permanent grassland.

Extensification is one of the area-based measures in the land conversion plans. SGAV (the Danish Agency for Green Transition and Aquatic Environment) states that targets are met through land conversion in combination with field-level regulation, including, for example, extensification, to limit the need for field-level regulation.
