Hydrological coastal water group (Hydrologisk kystvandsgruppe)

A hydrological coastal water group is a group of sub-catchments used to calculate the nitrogen impact of land conversion plans.

According to SGAV (the Danish Agency for Green Transition and Aquatic Environment), the required nitrogen reduction under Vandplan 3-II (Denmark's Water Plan 3-II) is allocated across 108 sub-catchments, grouped into 37 hydrological coastal water groups. MARS (Denmark's land conversion planning system) calculates the impact of the 23 land conversion plans within these groups.
