NDVI

NDVI (Normalised Difference Vegetation Index) is an index of green vegetation calculated from near-infrared and red light.

The formula is (NIR minus red) divided by (NIR plus red). High values suggest green, active vegetation. NDVI is an indicator, not a measurement of biodiversity.
