Green Tripartite (Grøn Trepart)
Green Tripartite (Grøn Trepart) refers to the Agreement on a Green Denmark (Aftale om et grønt Danmark) of 24 June 2024 between the government and the parties to the green tripartite agreement.
The parties are Landbrug & Fødevarer, Danmarks Naturfredningsforening, Fødevareforbundet NNF, Dansk Metal, Dansk Industri and KL. The agreement includes, among other measures, establishing 250,000 ha of forest, taking 140,000 ha of carbon-rich lowland soils, including adjacent areas, out of agricultural production, and a CO2e tax on livestock.
Implementation takes place locally through 23 local green tripartite partnerships and their land-use conversion plans.
