Local Green Tripartite (Lokal grøn trepart)
A local Green Tripartite is a collaborative body that coordinates land-use conversion within a river basin. There are 23 such bodies.
Each local tripartite body consists of representatives from the municipalities in the river basin, local agricultural and nature conservation organisations, and Naturstyrelsen (the Danish Nature Agency). The municipalities designate one municipality to chair the body and another to provide its secretariat.
The local tripartite body is not a public authority and does not make decisions on individual cases. Projects are implemented by municipalities, landowners, private actors or Naturstyrelsen.
