Untouched forest (Urørt skov)
Untouched forest is forest left to develop naturally without conventional forestry operations.
According to Miljøministeriet (the Danish Ministry of Environment), 80,000 ha of the new forest under the Green Tripartite (Grøn Trepart) must be privately owned untouched forest and 20,000 ha state-owned untouched forest. SGAV (the Danish Agency for Green Transition and Aquatic Environment) indicates a higher expected grant rate for afforestation designated as untouched forest.
