Multifunctional Land Registration (MARS)

MARS stands for Multifunktionel Arealregistrering (Multifunctional Land Registration) and is the platform for land-related measures under the Green Tripartite (Grøn Trepart).

MARS was developed by Styrelsen for Grøn Arealomlægning og Vandmiljø (the Danish agency for green land transition and the aquatic environment), with Danmarks Miljøportal (Denmark's environmental portal) as the supplier. It has four modules: screening, planning, application and status. Screening and status do not require a login.

Many grant applications, for example for wetlands, low-lying land and afforestation, begin by drawing the project area on a map in MARS.
