Changes and payments in VLP projects: deadlines and documentation

Updated

Projects change as they progress. Under VLP, changes must be approved before they take effect, and payments are subject to fixed deadlines.

What requires approval?

Examples include deadline extensions, budget changes, changes to the project area and transfers of grant commitments. According to Landbrugsstyrelsen (the Danish Agricultural Agency), this list is not exhaustive.

Contents of a change application

  • Reasons for the change.
  • A description of the change, its implications for the project and its effect on nitrogen, phosphorus, CO2 or the achievement of objectives.
  • Documentation of the change.

Deadlines

Change applications must be submitted no later than 2 months before the project's end date, except for deadline extensions, for which the deadline is 10 days before the project's end date. Payment requests must be received no later than six months after the end date of the project period.

Changes to the project area

If the project area changes, the change must be mapped in MARS and then entered in F2-Tilskud or Tast selv.

Documentation saves time

A change application must be supported by documentation. If you have a dated baseline and follow-up flights using fixed points, it is easier to show what has changed and why.

Frequently asked questions

Can I start implementing a change before approval?

Yes, at your own expense and risk. Costs are only covered if the change is approved.
